Article---How to make the world peaceful? By: Naveed Asif
In today’s world no question needs to be addressed more than the question of what it means to be human. Especially in our culture of death, in which, our fellow human brothers and sisters are being murdered in blatant crimes against humanity like abortion and euthanasia. At first glance it seems easy enough to define human as being a member of the Homo sapiens species or even physically having characteristics of a human. Although these definitions are accurate, we will see that there is much more to being human. In fact we must not be partially human, but fully human in every aspect and way our Creator made us.
Human is a specie which has a brain to think how they can make this gifted life meaningful. The person who is unable to find this out is not a human in real terms… Would you like to live in a society in which you could leave the door of your house open without fear of finding that everything is gone when you return? In which you could go out at night without fear of being assaulted, raped, or killed? In which you could work with other people without feeling that civil words and kinds smiles are a mere facade and that almost everybody else is really after your job or after your body, when not after your skin? In which you could really care for other people instead of having to defend yourself from them, because other people would really care for you? I have no doubt about the answer people would give. You, and I, and everybody else would shout a resounding “yes”. Because a society like ours, in which there are break-ins, rapes, assaults, murders, treasons, and hypocrisy galore occurs mostly.
The dream can only come true to live in a model society as mentioned earlier: By being good and living good. The goal of a human being is to live a certain kind of life. But, what kind of life? Obviously one in which certain basic biological needs for food, warmth, shelter, and perhaps sex are met (sex gets the qualification because you don't die from lacking it). A happy life and a virtuous life, its main device is the social nature of the self. Within society, the knave or villain cannot generally flourish, either in the eyes of others, or, ultimately, in his own eyes. The life of injustice is apt to be a life of care and insecurity. If someone prospers by thieving or cheating, his prosperity is likely to turn to ashes. However, managed to equate the 'intended' life for a human being with the virtuous life. He also connected it with the virtuous life. He also connected it with life live according to reason. And this may seem to give us a kind of foundation for ethics.
Generally speaking, people do well by doing good, or at least by avoiding doing bad.
