One of these matters is the safety, protection and violation of human rights of the religious minorities of Pakistan, which we wish to bring to your kind notice. We Christians of Pakistan since the time of its independence have been loyal and faithful servants to our country. It has been continuously shown by our service in all fields of life. On the other hand, we, in our own country, are considered as second class citizens. He said that Christians were being attacked, imprisoned and killed under the pretext of committing blasphemy charges being brought against Christians were false. The blasphemy laws, he continued, had created intolerance, disharmony and a "sense of insecurity" among minorities. The blasphemy laws have remained a tool in the hands of extremists to victimize minorities and innocent Muslims in Pakistan. In the wake of the recent attacks in Gojra and Korian (village), which left ten Christians dead and about hundred houses burned down. We must condemn the forces of intolerance and believers of extremism to destabilize our country and to capture our beloved country for their devilish design.
